Earlier this year, BitGW proudly supported the Hot Cocoa Crush 5K & 10K, a community running event organized by the Never Stop Running Foundation and hosted by Elitefeats at Flushing Meadows–Corona Park in New York City.
The race took place on February 1, bringing together runners, families, and community members for a day focused on healthy living, perseverance, and connection. As a sponsor and supporter of the event, BitGW was honored to take part in an initiative that celebrates community spirit and active lifestyles.
Participants from across the city gathered to run, support each other, and celebrate the shared experience of movement and perseverance. From first-time runners to seasoned athletes, the event created a welcoming and energetic atmosphere that reflected the diversity and openness of New York City.
Supporting this race reflects BitGW’s belief that strong communities are built through real-world connections and shared experiences.
Community Airdrop Campaign
Following the race, BitGW launched a community airdrop campaign connected to the event.
From February 1 through February 28, participants who received the official race invitation email were able to register on BitGW using the exclusive event invitation code COCO5K.
As part of the campaign:
- New users registering with the code received Dogecoin rewards
- A total of 74,960 DOGE in rewards were distributed to participants during the campaign
- Many new users joined the BitGW platform through this initiative
